Although 8 Sigma was founded in 2015, our team has had over 15 years of experience in the systems for managing and monitoring manufacturing processes. By working for a large brand-name power and automation corporation we have implemented our solutions in the largest plants all over the world, covering metals, pulp and paper, power plants and food and beverage industries.
In 2015 we developed our own software solution 8Sigma MES - Manufacturing Execution System that provides Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things (IoT) support to your production process. In the industry world it is known as Level 2 and 3 software solutions, which is an important link between automation / SCADA / PLC system (Level 1) and ERP / planning systems (Level 4).
8Sigma MES oversees processes and manages the quality of production lines, it integrates all the machines in the plant, connects business and manufacturing processes and generates reports that bring valuable insights to help make both better business decisions and on time.
The name 6 Sigma is well introduced in the world and comes from statistics to evaluate the process capability, making sure that a very few items produced will fail to meet the targeted specification. With the term 8 Sigma we go one step beyond, since it represents exceptionally high accuracy during the implementation of the project. It illustrates the way how we work and what we can offer.
